I miss some of that weird subtler stuff in the lore. I like the new games starting with Origins and the afterlife expansions/content for each of the games is really beautiful and fun to explore, but they kind of lost me with the mechanics of how these different things work, like each afterlife is apparently a simulation and the gods which are AC's reptilians control it and they still exist or they don't and you're just exploring a past version of that simulation?

This was just something stupid+fun that they came up with because they needed a way for Ezio to "win" without killing him (because he didn't die the year the final Sequence takes place in).

Like honestly whoever suggested it is the GOAT.

I like how Doom Eternal handed the afterlife
