Why do they think kids would love the same disney characters we loved as kids growing up? Times change and the disney creators need to start adopting different ideas that are more engaging to the younger crowd. Nobody wants to see Snow White anymore. Nobody cares for Ariel anymore. I'm tired of Disney not understanding appeal to tradition and nostalgia is not profitable anymore. I mean I'll go to Disneyland once in a while, but don't expect me to spend money watching something I'm already familiar with.

They do try though. They've pretty much tried everything and most have still been a hit or miss. Mostly misses.

If all they did was nostalgia, then we wouldnt have many of the classica we got .

They are just afraid of new ideas. They want to remake Moana for crying out loud.

Them and Hollywood in general see new ideas as too risky since movie-making costs have ballooned so much, they only want guaranteed money makers.

Nostalgia versus original concepts is not a guarantee of quality one way or the other. Ducktales 2017 was heavy on nostalgia-bait, and it was excellent.

And original stuff still gets made, but you need to be quick to support any such content.

Like many people who bought Spider-Man comics just to complain about Brand New Day, but didn't try the comic Love & Capes with a developing romance and no reset.

Lol bringing up Snow White. That chick's been a thing for over 80 years. Imagine going to Disneyland and not seeing Snow White. The Charize Theron movies were good too.
