Whats the synopsis?

That was on all the time when I was young in the early 80's. I haven't watched since I was a kid though. I think Brooke Shields in that movie was like my earliest crush.

Cousins get stranded alone on an island, they have sex when they enter puberty and end up having a baby.

Both cousins are naked for much of the movie and the female cousin's actress was only 14-15 during filming whereas the male cousin's actor was 18-19.

I'm honestly shocked the movie hasn't been retroactively pulled, banned from cable/streaming and vaulted up somewhere. Leon is another one that's gotta go.

As horrible as Private Lessons, which romanticizes a boy being seduced by his adult female tutor, played by the same actress as Emmanuelle. The tagline is "what happens to him should happen to you".

Not the only creepy movie Brooke Shields was in as a young teen. There was also Pretty Baby where she lived with her mom in a brothel and they auctioned off her first time.

Yeah, likely because it just isn't super well known or cared about these days. And while the subject matter is taboo, it's probably a pretty realistic look at what WOULD happen if two young cousins were shipped wrecked on an island for a decade. Remember, they were 9 and 7 at the time, in the late Victorian period, where dating your cousin wasn't that unusual. But being that young and without adults around to drill societal norms into them, it isn't that surprising they fall for each other. Remove the "cousins" part and no one blinks an eye (aside from the depiction of minors nude).

Pretty Baby is way worse, with her fully nude when she was 11. And some Playboy spinoff mag published nude pics of her when she was fucking TEN.

I hate knowing all of this. That is absolutely disgusting. I feel so bad for her. You just know if that's how bad the public facing aspect of her childhood is, only God himself knows what that poor woman went through with the men behind the productions. I don't know much about Brooke Shields but I hope she's had a good life.

Yeah the magazine was called something like "Sugar and Spice" And it was done with her mothers permission. Just makes you say WTF in any era.

I once found a random, lost USB stick. There was nothing on it but Blue Lagoon 2. That being said, people getting in a tizzy over imagery of something as innocuous as the human form is very...pilgrim-like. May as well ignore every visual medium.

Or maybe they were panthers or jaguars? I don't exactly remember. I didn't know what exactly incest was back then, but I did think it was gross that they French kissed their relatives.

The amount of grown men thirsting for Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver was fucking disgusting.

I used to love watching that movie when I was a kid. I think I just liked it cause it was immersive. It was kind of cool watching them survive on a island alone. Well technically they weren't alone at first, but the adult died.
