Tekken 8 hasn't released yet, but Soul Calibur is basically dead because the director left Bandai Namco. Soul Calibur sells well, but it's always consider a disappointment to Bandai Namco eyes because it only sells a fraction to what Tekken can sell.

Even though Soul Calibur VI sold really well NAMCO much prefer the utter shit TEKKEN over Soul Calibur and would much rather put all their efforts into the utter shit TEKKEN. People always say SC is dead and yet here we are, 2 entries later (maybe more, idk if people thought it was dead after SC3).
I'll just repost the same thing I always do about SC when people start dooming over it. The Reddit guy said it best. If the absolute shitshow that was SC5 didn't end the series then it'll definitely get another entry considering SC6 was well received and Bamco was happy with its performance, even if it does take a while. --- Look, I can name a few instances in MY life where I tried to reach mutual understanding and i can TELL you, always faster and easier to just kill em.
