A majority of easy to get entry levels jobs have you on your feet and stocking shelves, which requires bending and lifting.

High school/college sports can be another reason.

Sitting and/or standing and bending all day.

People should be walking like 5-6 miles a week at minimum.

Sitting

that alone causes my left hip problem.

rolling the ankle didn't help things at all (on multiple occasions).

Weightlifting. I tell everyone and anyone I know to never deadlift. Ever. Herniated disc. Surgery. Etc. I even went out of my way to ensure good form, etc.

Bad posture
bad walking form/shoes if youre on your feet all day
Overweight
dont exercise daily

one thing Ive noticed as Ive aged, at 30 right now I feel physically the best I ever have. But Ive also spent the last 2 years prepping and taking more care of every aspect of my health to counteract the fact as we get older shit just doesnt work as well unless you over maintain it

Different reasons for different people. I dont have issues with my legs, but I have a bad back because of an injury. It might be also hereditary and might have to do with bad posture or the wrong mattress. As mentioned, work can factor into it and many people might have issues from improper exercise techniques.

Sitting too much at a desk screws your back up too with bad form.

proper deadlifts don't cause herniated disc though it will make them worse if you already got them since you're basically squeezing an already drizzling tube and sooner or later it will gush out.

if it did it was because you had too crap form with too heavy loads for too long before you did anything about it.

I got body slammed onto bricks when I was a teenager.

I blew out my knee making a running leap to catch a football.

I had both pains by the time I was 20. Today I'm probably carrying about 20lbs extra weight and that doesn't help.

I'm sure I was doing them wrong or lifting too heavy or both. My point is that the risk/reward from doing them is unbalanced. You can watch all the YouTube videos you want and follow the doggone "try to add a little weight every week" routines, and you'll screw it up.

Or at least I did. But I know that I'm not the only one.

Mix shitty stressful work conditions, with shitty healthcare access/costs and modern sedentary lifestyle and garbage diets...and you have a recipe for problems. Weak nutrient low bodies being put under signifigant continious stress and repetitve motions. Medical intervention is often far too late because healthcare is too expensive and our work culture is bad.

America has this obession with not sitting while working which is bad. Like yes please don't sit your entire shift but holy fuck don't stand for 8+ straight hour. Also breaks are not sufficient and properly encouraged or enforced.

Football, bad posture, etc also don't help.

The easiest way to tell somebody hasn't actually worked a hard day in their life is if they answer "This only happens if you're fat/overweight/bad posture/etc.!" to this kind of question.
