So how do you know that doesn't mean "multiverse Wolverine?" Why are you just assuming it means... Same Wolverine, but before "Logan?" Please explain. Because for all we know, Deadpool 3 is a Wolverine who never even gets to the point of the movie "Logan."

Ok I think I see the miscommunication on my part. I'm talking about a Logan that is younger, period. So basically using him prior to his death in Logan.

Gotcha. We don't necessarily disagree. My point is entirely that there can be "multiverse" versions of these characters, regardless of whatever the movie timeline is. And since this spoiler suggests multiverse Beast, we can't say, without a doubt, that this is "random," since we have no actual idea how they're going to portray Wolverine in Deadpool 3, for example. For all we know, maybe the way they portray Wolverine sets up for this.

EDIT: I was mainly arguing against people saying this would be "too random" and "not make sense." We may have crossed lines when we didn't mean to. Sorry, if that's the case.

We literally can't say that at all, because every Deadpool movie has taken place in the current age, and so, based on that continuity, we have zero idea why or how Jackman is in the movie. Maybe they do say "Oh, Logan happens way later." Maybe they say it's a multiverse Wolverine. Maybe they just say "Fuck Logan, we're ignoring it."

We have no idea. All we know is that they, purposely, cast an old ass Wolverine. And we can say THAT with certainty, because Hugh Jackman is 55, and he ain't getting any younger.
I think they called Logan an alt-universe thing.

Are they actually going to introduce mutants in the MCU or are they just gonna crossover with the Fox multiverse?

My assumption, based on Jackman Wolverine and (if this is true) Grammar Beast, is that they're going to use a crossover to introduce actual younger mutants into the MCU. That's why I use the wording "one off." I think they'll make a "one off" nostalgia movie featuring the old cast, via "multiverse" counterparts, in order to introduce the new, young mutants into the MCU. My assumption on this is guided by the fact that they clearly know Jackman isn't going to agree to be Wolverine past a movie or two, and, if this is true, using a Kelsey Grammar Beast fits in with this.

Kind of like what they did with Prof. X in Dr. Strange 2, which is still annoying that that went completely nowhere and was basically just a glorified nostalgia check.

Basically, here's my theory, assuming this leak is true.

They will use multiverse versions of "old" Xmen (Jackman, Grammar, etc.) in a movie, to make the current Avengers and/or the world aware that mutants exist (young Wolverine, young Beast, etc.) and said mutants have just been hiding themselves. Thus, the awareness of their existence will build the NEW Xmen, for the MCU.

That sounds lame tbh. If they are gonna introduce the new X-Men they should stand on their own with their own story.

We're kinda past the point of that being possible, in the MCU, without some cataclysmic event. Which, to be fair, could still happen.

Again, we have no idea what they're building to.

That said, I'd agree to disagree, in that I find "Mutants exist but have been hiding" more interesting than "Oh here's this random event that suddenly creates mutants."

That's the point. Captain America trolling.
Not that one, the one before it. With Vulture and Scorpion.
