I vaguely remember the orginal. It's been 20+ years since I played it. I'm pretty sure it was one of 2 games I came to this very site for. The other was RPGmaker. Played the Demo and decided its my game this quarter

Some like the ship being enveloped require you to have played it to understand first, and also the words accompanying this trailer are kinda... weird. Like, "we have the hopes of the entire universe riding on our shoulders"? No, that was not even a thing in the original SO2. It was an esoteric pair of planets, one which had some very weird stuff about it, aside from whatever final revelations from the final boss were coded into it by 4D, since you just know they will force references into the game about that despite those not being part of it originally. Honestly, if you could, even if it needed some extra new sidequests, get all the characters regardless of starting character, that would convince me to try it.
Its a remake, it doesn't need to play the replay value card the original had at the time. Even FFX-2 let you get 100% in one playthrough if you follow a guide to make sure you get everything on the path that technically let you do so. --- I am the Hunter of Topics. Cant wait. I havent played this game since I was a kid, but it was one of my favorites of that era. It might be the only one of my favorites that Ive never gone back to play again.
