Five Guys prices are outrageous. Have you ever looked at delivery prices for Five Guys? Absurd.

You can't really treat Five Guys like fast food. The quality is on par with casual dining.

People say things like this as if fast food burgers don't taste better then a lot of casual dining restaurants and that there are casual restaurants taste better then fine dining. It all depends on the place really.

5 Guys Burgers are decent. Better then a burger at Fridays perhaps, but I would rather eat a Quarter pounder then either.

The one time I went there, this is how it was for me. I tried to have it bare so I could see how the meat was without drowning it in toppings & it was meh.

Is it though? They throw your food in a sack. Presentation means something.

Also I think their prices might be more than most casual dining places. I just checked the Outback Steakhouse near my house and it's $13.99 for a "Bloomin' Burger" and it comes with fries, which Five Guys doesn't do. Either way it's cheaper or at least around the same price as the TC's example.

Five Guys is fast-casual.

It's delicious, but crazy overpriced.

I mean I agree that going to outback is better value. I'd always rather go to a sit-down than a Five Guys.

I'm just saying Five Guys is on a tier above say McDonalds or Burger King so of course it's not priced the same.

Oh yeah we are in complete agreement, I was just commenting on how bad of a value it really is for a restaurant that is so low frills. Fries are good though, I'll give them that.

Shrugs money isn't an issue for me so I'll always go 5 guys if I could, only diet is the stopper. But the other fast casual places like shake shack pale in comparison to 5 guys. I'd go to burgerfi if I want a chicken or vegan option, but when I'm in the mood for traditional burgers, there's no other than 5 guys.

The only sit-down I haven't tried is outback so I can't comment if that place is any good. But the other bar-and-grill type places like Applebee's and Friday's... yeah.
