Board 8 > Has anyone here ever been given field sobriety tests?

I was given FSTs about 7 or 8 years ago. I was driving back from karaoke or something. It was raining and I was in a kinda weird area (it wasn't, like, a highway, it was a bunch of little streets intersecting with each other or something idk) so I was having a hard time seeing the lines. I had had maybe 2 drinks over the course of several hours. I was nowhere near drunk during the entire course of the night. When I got pulled over, I explained all this to the cops. They asked me do field sobriety tests. I complied. They could see that I was sober so they let me go.

Knowing what I know now, that seems like a mistake. I probably should've just refused? I don't know if they would've arrested me for that or what. I know the advice is "never do FSTs" but I don't know if I just had some ridiculous crazy freak experience with unusually sympathetic cops, or if I just got lucky, or if doing FSTs can indeed help you despite what every defense attorney on earth says if you are indeed sober.

Has anyone else been field sobriety tested? Were you sober or under the influence? Were you released or charged with something?

Not driving. They randomly breathalyzed at my junior prom and I was selected. "Alright! Go enjoy your prom!"
