My team was pretty evenly leveled, around 25-26 each or so when I got there. Knowing I could go up to 30 for the gym leader cap, I went and started to fight a few of the trainers left and right of Nimbasa.

Ended up losing two of my team to this fucking level 24 Scraggy.

Managed not to lose anyone at the gym though. I remembered that little Volt Switch bitch being super hard, and with zero type advantages, I had to rely on Herdier with Eviolite. I remembered she would Volt Switch right away, so I used Work Up and was able to plow through with Strength. Her Flaaffy didn't die in one hit though, and managed to hit me with a Thunder Wave. Tried to fight through it, Herdier dropped down to 11HP against her Zebstrika, forcing a switch into Pignite. Fortunately, it used Quick Attack, so that didn't do much on switch, and then it used Flame Charge for some stupid reason, which allowed Pignite to be fine and finish the job.

I forget a lot of the details about the one I did. But it's obviously one of the more difficult Pokemon games. And that's not even factoring in Challenge Mode.

I do know by the end I avoided the majority of trainers in Victory Road and basically solo'd the Elite Four with a slightly overleveled Gliscor. Lost a ton of Pokemon throughout the run though.

Fuck. Just lost Pignite due to a stupid play against Clay. I started with Leveanny to take out his first two. However, knowing excadrill wasnt going to die in one seed bomb after I had taken an intimidate from his first mon, I switched in a joltik to sac it (to get intimidate off leveanny -- it was a few levels lower than my team anyways, and leveanny and magneton have bug and electric covered anyways, so it wasn't a huge loss). Instead of sending leveanny back out, which likely would've 2hKOd with seed bomb (barring a rock slide crit, in which case I might've lost the whole run), I sent out Pignite thinking I could 2hko it with Flame Charge instead and would be fine eating a Bulldoze. NAH BITCH, Pignite dead. Then I sent leveanny back out and finished it with no problem.

That was fucking dumb. I could've just been out a joltik. Silver lining is, I do have a Darumaka to pick up the fire coverage... but one of these days, Hustle is going to get that thing killed.

Yeah it's not easy so far. Down to four mons, hopefully I get something with better coverage on the next route.
