The hospital bombing is one example of many. Based on what Ive seen, I think the Hamas did it. However, I dont really know for sure so please dont treat it like Im saying its something I have 100% confidence in. Everyone has super strong opinions on this on both sides. People dont want to trust any news source or even the president no matter which side leans where.

It feels like there is nothing you can trust if you only want the truth while most of the country only look for sources to back their own agendas. Finding the truth is so difficult. Even if you find evidence to back a claim, the evidence could just be fake. What a time we live in

Just stick to reliable news channels/papers. I'm not a US citizen, but I always found Reuters and the Washington Post very reliable.
I definitely recommend to avoid reading news on social media.

As someone else mentioned, stick to reputable sources that have a fact checking operation. Not a good idea to scan social media for hard facts. Clips and interviews sure,but even those can be faked.

FWIW, the latest speculation is that the hospital was hit by a rocket from Islamic Jihad (CNN, Reuters, AP).

Fair enough. He should have know better. In fact, its inexcusable just like that horrible act that was reported. Just to be clear, I work 7 on 7 off 12 hour shifts overnight. So I often miss big news stories and its harder for me to keep track of what is accurate and/or up to date. I dont have a side I take outside of the civilians side.

I think the bigger question is why they felt needed to lied about this at all? They wanted to make Hama out as the bigger bad obviously but there was no shortage of other crimes they could have pulled from to do so honestly.

I know enough to know that I don't know anything these days.

Most news sources are tainted by political bias, social pressure, or how to best monetize. At least here in the US I would never trust any news outlet to get anything more than the vaguest outline of world events accurate so I can try to cobble together information on what really happened, and even then only hope that's the truth of the matter.

It's terrifying times for the truth and things will only ever get worse from here.

Don't worry. That poster doesn't know everything either.

My advice: Don't play reactionary games.

Many people will settle for any information that meets their existing confirmation bias.

Don't jump to conclusions, seek neutral information, be critical of the source, and don't hesitate to drop your ego and change position if necessary.

Acknowledge when you fuck up, speak on it and challenge yourself to do better.

If you haven't been there; it's because you're only caught up in validating your world and not reality.

Probably best to not try to follow the issue regularly. Information takes time to verify. Don't follow it in real time. Recap on the info every few days

How could we ever verify any information anyway? Its not like were on the ground ourselves, we have to rely on institutions, corporations, and individuals with their own agendas to get any information on whats going on. Theoretically the establishment media could be reporting lots of misinformation and we wouldnt know it, we would just believe it because its CNN or NYT or whatever.

IT WAS Israel that did all the other air strikes/bombings they themselves claimed responsibility for including bombing a School being used as a Shelter.
Even after they were given the coordinates to prevent them from accidentally bombing it.

Yes I didnt know that. Like I said, I dont know everything. You are framing me like Im so pro Israel person when Im not. I made the topic about Israel using White Phosphorous on citizens and condemning them. That is fucking horrible. People came out and said that was false in that topic. I had no idea if it was or not. It later got confirmed that it WAS what Israel done. It took me several days to even know what the truth was.

Like I said, Im ignorant on the situation and the only side Im taking is the innocent citizens being caught in between all of this. Not everyone follows foreign affairs to the degree that you do. I keep telling you I dont and yet you dont seem to believe me which is wild.

But I said in the opening post that I dont know for sure. That means that is what I was leaning towards based on what Ive seen. It was clear that I was saying in between the lines that I could be ignorant on the subject. I still dont know if it was propaganda or not.
