I'd recommend a small list of the classics I grew up on, most of them from the 80's. Stuff like:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Coming to America
Animal House
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
CaddyShack
Weird Science
Airplane!

Then you have Mel Brooks stuff that I love like:
Blazing Saddles
History of the World Part 1
Spaceballs
Young Frankenstein

Plus so so so many others but I tried not to just sit down and list 100 things.

Fanboys is a fun movie. Its about four 20 something year old guys who try to steal a copy of Star Wars episode one from Lucas ranch before its released. Obviously it takes place in like 1998

has a surprising amount of people in it

yeah a lot of these are good. I also must mention Bill & Ted (the first one) and The Princess Bride

In particular I think my pick for "funniest movie I've ever fucking seen" is a tie between Airplane and Princess Bride

I love Princess Bride. Such a great movie. I have also always been a sucker for the Bill and Ted movies. Especially the first one. I was a young teenager when it came out and always enjoyed it.

When suggesting comedy movies I always assume the person has seen the most seen funny movies already. I'm not gonna suggest Superbad or anything like that. I try to find ones that people havent seen.
