the noise canceling is a good mix of cancellation & actually being able to hear around you if need be. At ambient noise they feel especially light. As for sound quality, a bit deep for my preference but it does sound good with songs that are bass heavy. They fit well in ear and dont feel heavy/uncomfortable, plus they look pretty sleek.

yes I know theres better quality earphones out there, even wireless ones. But the synergy with apple products is worth the extra cost on this one imo. And Im coming from 4 year old $50 headphones so its a clear upgrade.

Eq can pretty much make any earphone sound decent to great. So not a big deal if its stock tuning sucks or not up to one's preference. I'm sure its decent tho by default. Probably. Many earphones/headphones are being tuned close to harman these days which is considered good by most ppl. And looks like the airpods pro 2 is close to it for the most part. Actually i think ill enjoy it cuz I like reduced volume around 3 khz

I bought my sister the 1st version of airpods pros for her bday. Never got to try them tho

I have such a bad experience of my wireless earbuds going bad far too sooner than I expected them to that I cant justify spending too much on them. I stick primarily to J Lab and cause theyre cheap and last a decent amount of time (compared to Raycon, which seemed to randomly break from simply existing). I mainly use them for work or cooking anyways. If I want to savor the music, I will use headphones.

Why do people wear them if they aren't listening to something?

I like a few db higher than harman from 250 to 500 hz too. When I eq my headphones I never add the preset that reduces volume in that area. Makes things sound more punchy to me to keep it +3 db higher. So its nice of apple to tune airpod pro 2 that way . That's awesome

Oh wow also I can see that Apple reduced bass a bit too to compensate for the reduction at 3+ khz. If bass was the same placement as Samsung buds on the graph it'd prob sound more bassy.
