Criminal scum stealing has ruined brick and mortar stores cause they take away hard earned money from stores so they either lock everything up which makes the shopping experience shitty or they close the stores for good. In the Bay Area stores literally get shop lifted 10 times per day. No matter how big the store is no business can survive that/want to do business in that area. Amazon ruined brick and mortar stores by brainwashing people to be lazy as fuck and only order from online so less people buy from the stores which means they go out of business. Luckily these two scum haven't put grocery stores out of business but that's due to necessity and human life and any other life depends on physical grocery stores

I am writing this cause sometimes it's great to buy things from stores and get it within 1 hour instead of waiting multiple days to get it shipped to my home and I'm tired of this bs of stores going out of business

Yes. But don't forget decisions made that make it easier.

Self-checkout lines in theory are a nice alternative, but are very easy to use to steal some of the things you get.

Which requires you to basically send employees over to just stand there and watch a bunch of lines at once, some of which may be broken or held up by someone having an issue with the line, or just with a faulty machine. (edit: and every time they have to be constantly helping people with their stuff just opens the theft possibility again as they are no longer watching).

Which means fewer people on checkout lines with someone scanning it for you.

Which when combined with how few people actually want to do either job at the pay being offered, leaves most stores understaffed.

Which ruins yet another store.
