Before I start, I am under no illusion that Israel is a "good guy" or anything like that. They have a ton of issues.

Things Hamas does:
-put tunnels under civilian buildings, connecting many of them.
-Literally put one of their main HQs inside a hospital.
-Tell their people to NOT go south after Israel told them to do so.
-Actively interfere with anyone who attempts to go south (reports include everything from blockades to them rounding up vehicle keys and ID documents). This picked up steam after Israel then restored water to the southern areas to further encourage people to get out of there before the land invasion begins.
-Launch rockets basically right from residential properties in the middle of the city.

The Hamas know what they are doing, by making it all but impossible to hurt them without hurting people who are not them. And they are doing this on purpose because it makes anyone who tries to do anything to them look bad.

Other things they did in the past include:
-Use infrastructure and other donations to make rockets instead of their intended purpose.
-When the EU funding directly improving their water infrastructure and built it themselves, they then just dug up the new pipes to make rockets with them.

It is very clear that the only value people have for the Hamas is to be a shield for them or to generate negative publicity for Israel, and that anything relating to their actual welfare is at best not a concern, and at worst is something they actively want if they can pin it on Israel.

At the very least, Israel does have some semblance of caring about its own citizens. Which is a remarkably low bar.

You left out that side one is bashing every innocent person in their way on the head to get to side 2.

look, the analogy can be modified to make one side look worse than the other, or to make it sound silly (lol Israel doesnt have testicles, its a country, countries have no genitals lol), but thats not the gist of the issue.

I am not aware of any third countries that Israel is attacking over this: not the western countries, not Iran, not Saudi Arabia, and not Lebanon. I am not sure how any of these countries would justify intervening in the baseball bat and kick to the nads analogy

I heard that Hamas regularly murders Palestinian citizens who they believe MIGHT be collaborating with Israel? I emphasize "might" because I heard that when they do so, they aren't even close to 100% sure. They just go by rumors and simply kill any Palestinian citizen without any due process whatsoever.....so basically Palestine is a giant police state where even Palestinian citizens are afraid of Hamas.

Is this true or just conjecture and hearsay?

Collateral Damage?
Acceptable Response?
Fuck so far off from this board with that kind of response.

Israel is not even trying to minimalize the casualties or damage done to innocent palestinians.

I KNOW EXACTLY what the average Israel Supporter believes and they have the same exact line of thinking as russia.
They want to wipe out palestine and exterminate anyone there that is not pro israel.

Go on r/israelpalestine and look at all the people calling for execuiting every single palestinian.

no.. israel is not the good guy.... hamas might be a terrorist organization, but at this point, israel is supposed to be better than them , so that makes Israel worse. Israel also has the support of too many countries not even trying to stop their genocide of palestine.

they dont even see palestinians as humans, they see them as vermin getting in the way of Israel that must be removed, by any means necessary.

Of course they should go after Hamas but can't they do that without civilians being in the crossfire? Israel doesn't care how many non-combatants they kill when going after Hama just like Hamas doesn't care about how many Innocents are caught in their crossfire.

This coming from the resident of a country that raged a war in the middle east that killed over a hundred thousand civilians?

I think it's still unverified at the moment but they did admit to using it in 2008 / 2009 war.

https://time.com/6323482/israel-white-phosphorus-gaza-lebanon/

Israel has previously been accused of using white phosphorus on a civilian population. During the 2008-9 war in Gaza, dubbed Operation Cast Lead, the Israeli military admitted to having used munitions containing the toxic agent on Gaza, but denied that doing so contravened its legal obligations.

https://www.hrw.org/news/2023/10/12/questions-and-answers-israels-use-white-phosphorus-gaza-and-lebanon

Human Rights Watch has determined based on verified video and witness accounts that Israeli forces used white phosphorus in military operations in Lebanon and Gaza on October 10 and 11, 2023, respectively. The videos show multiple airbursts of artillery-fired white phosphorus over the Gaza City port and two rural locations along the Israel-Lebanon border.

Its a no win situation honestly. Hamas attacks without care of who gets hurt, Israel responds. Hamas then hides behind people as shields. So options are either bomb or missle strike locations based on intel, or risk more lives with boots on the ground.

sadly this is war, Israel will do what it feels is best, cause no one calls them out on it, cause then, those that call them out have to back up what they say as well.

likewise, Hamas isnt an country or an army, its an ideal, a goal. Every time one dies, he becomes a martyr and another will take his place down the line. There is no absolute victory over Hamas, cause it will always come back in a different form if needed.

How about not bombs? How about no boots on the ground?

How about stopping occupation?
How about not displacing a native people?
How about ending apartheid?
How about not treating neighbors like second class citizens?
How about removing checkpoints?
How about instead of a violent reaction, we try a political solution?

This didn't start this past week, so stop looking at it from the lens of someone just reacting to what they deem to be a random attack. 85% of Israel themselves puts the lives lost last week on the feet of Natenyahu. Why can't you?
