I thought so too. But then I got Fatal Fury on the SNES and ran into terrible loading screens, something I had never really experienced outside of PC games before that.

It reads Kakyuusei and Jankyuusei Cosplay Paradise, so i assume Kyuusei series?

Seems there's another game in the series called Doukyuusei.

The Datasette.

You had to type a command hit run, and then hit play on the Datasette.
It would then turn at the rate of a normal cassette player, looking for the particular program you wanted, and when it found it, it would begin to load.

But also, if this is your other question. Cassettes are just magnetic ribbons, so they work on the same principle as a floppy disc.

The one I had was for The Commodore 64.

Am I the only one who thinks this terminology is weird given that all video games have been 'purely digital' for multiple decades at this point? All that's changed is the means by which the digital data is transferred and stored.

Pong is discrete hardware, to the point that the entire game is a circuit diagram, but that's about the last one.

The NES era, where games needed specific "MMC" chips is ambiguously so.

Basically it was a basic version of Duckhunt.
The toy vehicles worked as the zapper, it had a diode that you pointed at the screen.
The enemies had a red blurb that gave you a point if you hit them with the diode.
The "enemy fire" had a yellow blurb, and it removed a point when you hit it.
You started with 5 points, and when you hit 0 you lost and the character ejected from the vehicle.
This means that there was no variation to the gameplay per episode.

I mean, yeah.
Even weirder is that we got VHS videogame consoles.
Action Max had 5 VHS games.
The View-Master Interactive Vision had 7 which also allowed normal games running at Colecovision graphics. Which was destroyed by Nes graphics in 1989, but still...
And the VHS taped had one video signal and two audio signals. So depending on your choices, different audio was played. While the video was the same, the audio made it different.
