I grew up in an ancient, budget house quite like that and even in similar conditions. It got condemned the second my family moved out and they came to inspect it for the next sale. Demolished. Most people don't realize how bad of a problem mold can get until it's too late. If you see little "spore" colonies in your basement, washing room or bathroom up on the ceiling or in the corners it's already technically GG and on you to report it. More often than not, let's say it's the bathroom, they need to tear out the entire bathroom and kill the mold and rebuild. With you not in the house. It's also on your dime, as a renter.
