Best Buy isn't a bad place to get a washing machine. They prices are decent, and they'll deliver and install it quickly.

Bought one on a Wednesday or Thursday, and doing laundry on Saturday.

Still worth it. Id rather 15/month for temporary ownership then paying 50-70 bucks for everything Im actually interested in. Some of us play games and move on, not all of us are looking to dedicate an entire shelf or more in our house just for games.

It's not so much that I prefer to go digital everything but it seems like that is what the future wants and that's what it it is going to be. I bought Monark for 20 dollars (like new, it really was, still smelled new hah) off eBay. Apparently you can call a PS4 game that comes with a small booklet about the music with some interviews & a code to download the soundtrack a "Deluxe Edition." Bow howdy am I lucky to be so honored. Most games do just give you the disc and some small advertisement. A lot of times the game from the disc just installs onto your system anyways too.

The Best Buy in my mall still has a sizable blu-ray/DVD collection I guess, but I have not seriously looked through it in a long time. The last time I did I was hoping they had BoJack Horseman Season 1 on Blu-ray because it got an official release I believe and I thought it was a popular show, but I guess not popular enough to carry in store. I've just been too lazy to order it online I guess :/

Businesses don't work for principles. They work by servicing a demand for profit.

If Best Buy loses money by selling physical media because people will only buy them on clearance (or not at all) then of course they're gonna stop selling them.

Then the media companies aren't going to manufacture them because no stores want to buy them to sell and the logistics of it no longer make it worth it.

All of this being tied to that buying physical media also is no longer seen as worth it for most people.

So yeah things aren't looking great and I can't really blame anyone specifically. The signs have all been there for a while. It sucks but if consumers aren't buying them what are they supposed to do? If anything they did it to themselves by making streaming services a much better deal.

Physical media is becoming a niche thing. If you want it, you will have to find it in specialty stores. Look how vinyl records are still around. They have worse sound quality than any modern loseless sound file and take up a lot of physical space but you still have a small group of people who are buying them.

A good chunk of the problem is that " Gen Z" rarely has houses or even there own apartments to themselves, pepole are getting to poor to have the room to own much and its causing many things to collapse.

In days of yore, yes. Best Buy was the place to go in the early-mid 00's when the DVD craze was in full swing, and new and classic movies / tv shows were being released en masse. Best Buy basically pulled a Wal-Mart on Sam Goody, FYE, and all the other smaller media stores that no one remembers by typically having better selection and prices.
