Franks is my go to hot sauce because it's very mild and adds a nice vinegar/acid element to a dish. Tabasco is slightly hotter imo but goes well on mexican food.

I prefer Texas Pete, too. Don't worry, it's not actually made in Texas. Tabasco is boring and Frank's has like a buttery flavor (not bad, but not as good as Texas Pete).
When I'm in the mood for something much hotter, I like Melinda's Ghost Pepper sauce.

Of the two, Tabasco.

Cholula, Crystal, Louisiana or Tapatio otherwise, depending on the cuisine.

Franks is weaker than Tabasco. It tastes like water to me.

At least I get some flavor out of Tabasco, even if it's just vinegary to me.

I was never a fan of Louisiana's hot sauce. I preferred Tabasco but I honestly didn't realize that they sold Louisiana's hot sauce outside of Louisiana.

Between those two, tobasco. Actually think tobasco has a pretty good flavor. It's not very spicy but it tastes good.

It's not just the regular tobasco though. There's lots of different varieties and they all taste pretty decent.

Louisiana mentioned upthread is in a similar boat. Lots of great flavors, the fact that it's not super spicy works in its favor because it means you can use a lot.

This stuff right here. Not overly spicy so people who don't like excessively hot can enjoy it but still will give a good tingle for thoose of us who prefer hotter things and omg I've never had a hot sauce that taste so damn good. Jalapeno isn't really my favorite pepper but this sauce makes me seriously rethink how much I like Jpeps cause damn its good.

This, really.
If you want a little bit of spice, just get a cheap can of cayenne powder. Also it won't have all the salt and vinegar.
