About the game? Since the hype has calmed down normal people should be more level headed and don't over exaggerate how good the game is like they did with that crappy ass game known as Diablo 4 which made me buy the game cause of fake positive reviews but in reality D4 sucks horrifically

It's the same old game in the same old engine with the same old bugs and exploits. At this point you're either a Bethesda fan and all the problems are "part of the charm" or you're not and you've learned to avoid their entire catalog.

I mean hell, I just watched a youtuber do an "exploits" run and they're STILL hiding vendor bags just below the surface where people can loot them. At this point I have to assume they're doing it intentionally because otherwise it's just gross incompetence.

8/10. Fun game.

It's a lot of fun. It's a Bethesda game, so expecting anything other than a Bethesda game is silly.

I really like it. It's their best game they've ever made. I can't wait for the DLC.

Havent played it yet due to backlog, hope itll be on sale for the holidays though

It's flat out awesome. So many addicting parts in it.

I like what I've played, but I have a feeling once I finish faction missions, it's going to get really boring/repetitive.

I only knock a point off because I don't like the procedurely generated areas as much.

It's the most sterile, soulless and somehow unimaginative game they've ever created.

About a week in, I've found it to be pretty solid. Nothing really wow-ing me, but haven't ran into any issues and I'm enjoying it just fine.

While I am enjoying some aspects of the game, I have to agree. Nothing you do has any consequences and no one talks about what you do. Ron Hope comes to mind. IYKYK.

If this game came out 10 years ago maybe, but to spend so much time in menus, quick travel and loading screens kills whatever immersion the game has going for it.

Im really liking it and its probably going to end up towards the top of my Bethesda games list. It definitely took a bit of time to get going though.

Ive put in a lot of time these past two weeks, and I think its fantastic. I love how significant the side quests are to the overall universe, stuff like the terrormorph one would often be rolled into a main quest in other games but here its totally optional. Dialogue in random situations even changes after some quests ship techs talk about how they need to remove the heat leeches to stop terrormorphs which is neat to see. Randomly stumbling upon quests like a criminal rehabilitation centre or helping a freestar/UC marines temporary alliance really help make the world universe feel alive.

major flaws to me would be no maps in cities, no vehicles to hasten planet exploration and load screens can take some time and are common. The game doesnt explain any of its mechanics to players so you kind of have to figure things out for yourself, which likely causes frustration for people at the beginning and is why it might be a clunky, slow start for some.

this, and the freedom of exploration isn't even there, because you're just assaulted with loading screens, fast travel maps, menus, etc. and breaking the game up into a hundred boring planets instead of condensing interesting stuff on a few planets is what hurts the game so much for me. besides the obnoxiously limited inventory, resource management, outposts, ship building, all that tedious crap that most players actively avoid because it's just anti-fun and menus, menus, menus.

Yup. The UI sucks and the game teaches you nothing about certain mechanics. But I'm still playing it and have about 100 hours. It's one of my favorite games of the year.

I played it for 90 minutes or so and then refunded it because the performance wasn't great. After having watched some friends play it, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much anyway. Procedural generation is generally not my kind of thing.

It makes me weep for es6.

As wide as the ocean, and as deep as a puddle. I can see it being my favorite bethesda game after a few DLCs and a ton of mods.
