It happens all the time to the point where I wonder why they even bother updating it lol

I don't know sometimes it just floats in limbo and then magically appears at my door

Guessing basically the package goes out for delivery but because of traffic or other reasons they can't deliver it during shift hours so it ends up going back to the facility to get picked up again by someone else later

It's just the double edged sword of live updates. It's nice to see everything that happens, but you also see when things don't go right.

I once had an estimated date Saturday, arrival date Wednesday, three days early. That was pleasant.

Ive noticed that both FedEx and UPS much more recently just like giving dates, even if they make no sense. I guess for some reason theyd rather be wrong then say its undetermined. I feel like it started happening more after the strike scare.

Just recently I went from "Label was created we'll update as soon as we have your package" to "arriving tomorrow" from FedEx.

Sometimes they just don't update their system.
