Playing Starfield, it's showing it's age. You should be able to seamlessly go from the overworld to house interiors and caves/dungeons; BOTW did this 7 years ago, so there is no excuse to still have loading screens there.

Character movement STILL feels floaty and your actions lack weight, feels like freaking Oblivion. Really not feeling too hopeful about TESVI right now.

I mean, Skyrim felt dated to me when it came out a decade ago. No idea why these games keep getting acclaim.

Obsidian did that with Outer Worlds and I don't think anyone thought it was better than New Vegas.

BOTW plays nothing like a Bethesda game.

Nah, they just simply need to abandon Gamebryo. Not attempt to remake it.

This. And Bethesda games tend to be insanely more large and dense than most games. It would be an absolute nightmare to try and port that complexity over to an unfamiliar engine. And their engine has great built in mod support which wouldn't necessarily be the case with something else.

Wasn't this seamless in Fable, way back on the original Xbox?

I dont want to hear any excuse for Bethesda. Playing Cyberpunk and its a night and day difference between it and Starfield. Cyberpunk is also running on an old engine also.

Cyberpunk also ran like garbage when it first came out.

I really like starfield, but i agree, its time for a new engine. The game feels like its 10 years old

Only if you had a potato console. My gaming PC was maybe somewhere in the middle of the hardware cycle, and it ran beautifully.

Or at the very least, they need to update their games. They're playing it too safe trying to make it a Fallout/Elder Scrolls clone.
