I swear the game really just came and went and I never hear anything about it anymore. It was the most hyped thing of the generation.

IDK, I'm still playing it.

Starfield is an action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018. The game takes place in a space-themed setting, and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 25 years. The game was released for Windows and Xbox Series X/S on September 6, 2023.

Because that's the kind of game it was. It'll pick up steam on PC as the modding community makes it better and better. But if Bethesda wants another Skyrim, they better release a Special Edition that allows for downloadable mods on console.

Honestly, not even mentioning all the space fast travelling, there really isn't much to explore in the game. The procedural generation isn't that great, and you keep running into the same outposts and shit over and over and over. It doesn't have the magic that past Bethesda games had when you come across something awesome that distracts you from the quests.

Once you do the main quests and factions quests, the game just got pretty boring quick. I hope they get mods on console cuz it'll be the only way I get back into the game.

Buddy of mine came over the other day and we played a bit of Starfield side to side just doing quests and talking about the game and shit.

People don't actually like games if they have to fill them full of masturbatory nonsense to enjoy them.

People actually thought this game would surpass Baldurs Gate 3.....

Its a pretty good game honestly, might be Bethesda's best in a lot of ways

It was good but nothing revolutionary. Solid 7.5 or 8/10 game. I put in ~100 hours and enjoyed it but feel thats about all I want to see. Ive noticed there seems to be a draw to going through NG+ cycles which I think is a big no no for Bethesda games. Sad because its kind of woven into the story/lore, too bad its Bethesda.

Just doesnt seem like the kind of moddable sandbox that Skyrim was. Maybe modders will prove me wrong but I dont see it with this one. Its like they tried to account for replayability but couldnt figure out exactly how to do it. Kind of like FO4 radiant quest system.

Was the same when Fallout 4 released, once the Creation Kit dropped, then you got all the horny you could have ever wanted.

I pick it up and explore every couple of days. It's a fun game to play while listening to podcasts.

Based on what I've heard, you play as a trans unicorn and earn points by reading books about communism to kids.

Honestly speaking the game is a solid 6/10 objectively but it's a 9/10 enjoyment for me. The main thing honestly, it just feels dated. It feels like it should have came out 10 years ago. The engine they use is really showing it's age, it just isn't up to the standards of the time. Cyberpunk 2077, for all it's flaws, feels like a next gen game. Starfield is still fun and in a couple of years or so will be much much better when modders get better stuff out. The perk system really needs a overhaul as they are either super basic or useless with very few standing out.

Isn't it still pulling 80,000 concurrent players on Steam alone?

It's mid
