She was pulled for improper use of jurisdiction. That's not applicable here. The only way to get her removed would be to either get her fired (borderline impossible) or get her removed for demonstrating bias.

When you make claims like that, you need ironclad proof of it. Inference of motives isn't enough. Short of discovering communication by Cannon explicitly discussing that she's doing it to benefit Trump, I just don't think it could be done.

This federal indictment and court case I put the least amount of stock into when Judge Cannon got the job to preside over this one. I just don't care to follow this case much, because I fear unless Cannon is removed. I'm going to immensely disappointed in the outcome and it didn't take long for this MAGA to commit some BS fuckery to delay this trial indefinitely. This document theft case is super critical to the nation and it's people we get to the bottom of this. That we get a resolution to this and if Trump is found guilty by a jury of his peers, then he should be punished.

It is so stupid Trump has so many ways to circumvent and delay his way out of trouble. So many cultists willingly to throw their reputation away to go to bat for this fascist thug. It's sickening, it's pathetic.

The bar for this is really high. There's 2 ways to boot a judge off case. Conflict of Interest and Bias.

Conflict of interest is something like:

1. Defendant is your family or extended family.
2. Witnesses are your family or extended family.
3. You have a preexisting financial or legal relationship with the defendant or other things that could be affected by the trial (see: Disney recusal).
4. Judge had prior knowledge of the facts of the case.

Things like that. Saying "Trump appointed her" isn't enough because Trump can't take it back. If you had evidence she's doing him a return favor you could get her straight up jailed but nobody has that or it would have been done by now.

The second way is to get them removed for Bias. You're only allowed to file the affidavit for this once. It gets reviewed by a higher court who makes the decision. Unless you're 100% sure you're going to win, you do not do this. It's better to let her leave the biggest pile of evidence possible before filing the motion to have her disqualified because once it's done you don't get a second chance. That's why Jack Smith hasn't done it yet. And he's not going to do it except as a last resort.

I would not put this on the judge. I know people who aren't familiar with the legal system might be eager to jump down the throats of others, but this is actually pretty common. It's common for judges to delay proceedings of a criminal case for a defendant who is already in the process of defending other criminal matters in other jurisdictions when a good attorney raises the argument.

From the court's perspective, delaying the case while others are proceeding conserves judicial resources and reduces the likelihood of successful appeals or alleged misconduct in the process. They will get their turn.
