I watched a Life of P review that said the same thing happened with that game. Denuvo was added AFTER reviews had gone out.

I can understand lies of P doing it on some level, it's literally that studios second game last I checked & largest attempt yeah & the game is great. Ubisoft has been churning out this shit for years & they're much larger & shit really needs to hit, after the travesties that were odyssey & Valhalla they shouldn't be fucking around again

Seems like it is very linear, some optional ways to do objectives, and fun assassinations. Sounds good to me! Not bloated like the billion others sounds great. I hated Odyssey and what AC has turned into. Go back to having a few big cities and fun ways to assassinate people (ironically Unity did it best).

To be fair, the original is very bare bones. 2 is really good. It was a massive improvement

Yeah Ass Creed 2 is pretty much the gold standard for improving almost every aspect of the previous game

And I say that as a fan of Ass Creed 1.

I think 2 is still probably the best in the series. Great gameplay, good pacing, decent plot, genuinely interesting vibes with uncovering the Adam and Eve/Precursors sub plot

And then it started to fall apart as the games came out

Post-launch review editing should definitely be a thing since companies are using the opportunity to get away with putting devious shit in their games post-launch. I'm not worried about people using it maliciously because reviewers are professional and they'll lose their credibility and/or job if they misuse it.

Best thing about Ubisoft games is you never have to wait long for one, either. I never buy their games right away since they go on sale within a few months.

It's been known for months that this game has Denuvo. This is a non issue.

Yeah I'm thinking of re-installing it. I recall enjoying it a lot but this was after that huge patch. That and Syndicate get a definite bad rap.
