(pro soccer player, one of the greatest of all time actually)

The alleged incident itself isn't cloudy or a case of blurred lines. If she's correct, then he violently raped her against her will, nothing fuzzy at all.

The woman did everything "right", according to typical rape apologist arguments. She refused his advances, she tried to get away, she reported the incident immediately, her story stayed consistent and matches with evidence collected independently. The evidence is very strong - there's his semen inside her and all over her clothes, fingerprints, surveillance footage, and evidence of injury consistent with her story. She's also refused any hush money, pushing for criminal justice over monetary.

He's changed his official story over 4 times. First he didn't know her and she was out to make money, then he said he didn't know she was in the bathroom when he came in (proven wrong by surveillance), then he knew she was there but he just went to the toilet nearby. When that didn't make sense (because why did she stay in there doing nothing for 15 minutes?) he changed his story again to say she gave him head but it was consensual. So we're now at "i was just trying to save my marriage".

It could not be a more clear cut rape story, and yet if you delve into the comments section on any video related to this, it's what you'd expect. "Look we don't really know what happened", "why did she even talk to him?" "she's just seeking attention", etc.

Yes we know, dani alves is an amazing football legend.

This is why any attempt at rape should be met with lethal force. He cannot lie and be protected by the system if he's dead.

I see news from Aug. 2nd that he was indicted when I google his name.
Don't know if something else happened, but it sounds like the justice system is (slowly, as usual...see Trump's legal cases) moving forward with it.

Realistically, what is a presumably small woman going to do against a literal athlete, no less a grown man? You aren't carrying your weapons into a nightclub.

Well the good thing is he's actually in jail unlike a lot of rich/famous celebrities who did these things.
