The only real complaint that can be made about 2 is the story imo. The actual gameplay was improved significantly.

Bioshock 1 was amazing.

Bioshock 2 was just a normal ass FPS game.

Bioshock Infinite was wack.

Bioshock 2 just suffers from being after Bioshock 1. The gameplay was better, but it wasn't as shockingly new, and the story was just "rapture again, but opposite day" which felt like it was copying itself. If the order was reversed we'd probably all prefer 2, but that's just not how it happened.

Well, 2 had Eleanor as an OP plasmid summon, otherwise I think I liked 1 overall.

My favorite part of Bioshock 2 was the story leading up to the release. I found that interactive site about a dude looking for his abducted daughter iirc neat.

I barely remember the story, and I was disappointed that it was more stage-based instead of seamlessly connected.

But the combat was way better. The Big Sister fights were awesome.

I mean the 1st was stage based too and had missable content. I remember restarting the game because I forgot to use the torch to open a door in the medical bay.
