Being a dick to transgenders, gays, immigrants and whatever the fuck "Woke" means is the only thing Tories can do that they actually get popular support on from the general voting population.

They can't win on any policy or their history or their conduct. It's all absolute corrupt failure and disgusting incompetence.

So they have doubled down on hateful rhetoric. Specifically anti-trans and anti-refugee/immigration rhetoric. They're actually spending more money to treat refugees badly than it would cost to simply process them normally.

It's sickening and the if Tories aren't completely blasted out of all power in the coming few years then without hyperbole I think that's the end of the UK as a world power. They've passed a point of no return during Johnson's administration and at this point it's just mitigation.

Fuck terfs, fuck the right, fuck JK Rowling, and fuck Piers Morgan for good measure.

They can't even implement the policy (which is why it's a 'consultation') as there is no facility for trans patients to have a separate ward, which is what the law would require.

It is true that the legal definition of 'rape' is penetration with a penis. The law is gender neutral, so it would also apply to a woman with a penis.

However, penetration with an object, or forcing someone to penetrate is still sexual assault, and it carries exactly the same legal penalties as rape. It just isn't called 'rape' in the legal terminology.

Attitudes towards immigrants and LGBT in the UK is worse than in America.

With the exception of the Deep South and some other cherry picked areas. I'm speaking in General.

A signifcant amount of population (specifically in England and over 35s) are very happy to blame all their problems on "Outsiders" rather than corrupt politicians. They see schools falling part, piling debt, shops closing, NHS/post/teachers etc all on breaking points, the entire infastructure of the nation on the brink of utter collapse, decreased trade with other nations etc

And the Tory who just pocked 300 million pounds over the 2 decades of pushing their policies that caused or exasperated all of it goes "Yeah, all that shit? It's all that weirdos fault over there. Go be mad at them." and people eat it up.

To put it into perspective Jacob Rees Mogg (who is a multi-millionaire (that he inherited) and is against mimimum wage) was asked about the NHS being on the brink of collaspe and his "solution" was "Cut all care for trans people and we'll save money."

Yearly cost of the NHS is 181.7 billion. Trans care is 25 million. It doesn't make a lick of sense. But Tories appluaded that.

Many traditional left-wing Labour voters in the North are very antagonistic towards immigrants and LGBT. They support socialist economic policies but oppose trans care and want refugees sent back.

It's one of those topics of conversations on here where I try and go and find evidence of the thing and discover that in basically every metric that values LGBTQ travel safety and human rights, the UK is routinely in the top 10 countries in the world, and the USA is barely scraping the top 30.

Because I've been researching this and I can't find a single hospital with a women's only ward. Like there are natal units, of course, but not specifically "women's only".

Hospitals in the UK are not supposed to have mixed sex wards (exception for specialized areas like intensive care where it isn't an issue).

They experimented with them a bit in the past, but patients did not like them for reasons of privacy (sometimes cultural reasons among minority communities).

However, sometimes a lack of space means the rule has to be broken.

I've been in hospital thrice and each time men and women had separate wards. At least in regards to the rooms the beds were in. I'm guessing that's what this stupid idea is talking about. Because Caitlyn Jenner being in a men's ward is apparently common sense and more comfortable for everyone.

They're not talking about putting trans women in men's wards. That would be illegal. They are talking about separate wards for trans people, and that's never going to happen for cost reasons.
