EDIT: Not trying to start anything, just want to know because there might be some things that Ragnarok does differently that you might enjoy more. Its getting almost as played out as open world syndrome. Combat gets better than 2018 near the end when you get some seriously nice equipment/abilities, but up until that point... well the combat is still a bit better, largely due to enemy variety, but not too noticable. The story nosedives. Still has some great character stuff, but the narrative is... something. Also has a lot more moments of "cinematic" """gameplay""" where story is the focus and you do mostly nothing.
