Just fucking ruin someone's mood by backstabbing them, going to the spawn, and then killing them again the moment they step out. Then they're ready the third time, nuke you, but you had dead ringer and oop, they've spent half a minute dead with no real gameplay happening on their end.

Do Spies actively enjoy having it melt and having to retreat though?
In 2014 I was like a turbo-Pybro running around with the Degreaser, pre-death Reserve Shooter and Homewrecker. Spies did not like it at all back then.

I can usually outplay even really good spies. I know how to avoid common baits and trickstabs.

But when you have two good spies working together, that's a nightmare.

Damn do I miss this game

Scream Fortress soon.

Last year we got a payload race where one of the carts couldn't be pushed. Where the Horsemann either spawned invisible or under the map.
That sounds like I'm disappointed but it was really funny and I can't wait for this year's either.

Smart Spies don't care because it's replenished by ammo. You don't carry spycicle to be a stab compilation pubstar, you carry it for max survivability as a utility class. The revolver exists and kills Pyros fine.

I played TF2 once and tried spy. I could never do anything because enemies always shot me even when I was disguised. Obviously a skill issue but I dont play the game anymore

I didn't even know it was replaced by ammo. I stopped paying attention to the weapon adjustments for classes I don't use. Jungle Inferno killing Pyro put me off for a while.
I only play Wave 666 and Scream Fortress nowadays. Occasionally join some people I know for 32 person 2fort/Dustbowl.

i miss pubstomping as a sniper.

and brony servers. 2012 was a fantastic era in tf2.

It's a Bootcamp version of mvm_coaltown popular during Halloween. One big, difficult wave.

One of my favorite tactics as a spy was to rush around the corner, then immediately walk backwards, so when whoever's chasing you goes around, you have about 0.5 seconds to backstab them before they can react. The one where you leap backwards from the top of a stair over a pursuer to stab them was another 2Fort classic, haha.

Never actually played Scream Fortress, but I'll keep an eye out. Nice to be kinda excited about TF2 after all these years.

Actually it's pretty populated all year round. It's easy to get a game.

I remember carrying a team as sniper in MvM and they were having an easy time,.votekicked me out

Haven't had an update for it since Two Cities, either.

Potato.tf did a lot of custom community MvM Maps, enemies, and medals that you could actually get ingame, shame Valve never officially implemented it.

Remember how Decoy, Coaltown and Mannworks all had expert difficulty missions, but then the Broken Parts mission on Bigrock which was labelled as only advanced difficulty was way harder? It's still like that.
