I do a 180 and no longer believe in what I said at all.

This is more or less the basis of republican/conservative politics.

Even if a democrat does a legislation you normally support, you must immediately take an opposing position, condemn the legislation, declare why it's actually a failure, and then fear monger about the slippery slope that will lead to white Christians being rounded up into concentration camps by a coalition of Islamic fundamentalist LGBTQ socialists as the eventual result.

I don't like shockthemonkey either but you're not going to come off looking like the better person by doing this. Take your own advice and move on with your life.

Here's the difference, tankies are not tolerated by the center left, or the progressive left. Almost all the push-back against these types comes from the left and lib democrats.

Meanwhile, there's not much push-back against actual Nazis, white supremacists, and Christian nationalists in the mainstream republican party and conservative movement... in fact they are quietly embraced and defended like we see with sitting congresspeople defending the hate groups involved in the Jan 6th insurrection.
