During the summer of 1983, in a quiet town near Minneapolis, Minnesota, the charred body of a woman was found inside the kitchen stove of a small farmhouse. A video camera was also found in the kitchen, standing on a tripod and pointing at the oven. No tape was found inside the camera at the time.

Although the scene was originally labeled as a homicide by police, an unmarked VHS tape was later discovered at the bottom of the farms well (which had apparently dried up earlier that year).

Despite its worn condition, and the fact that it contained no audio, police were still able to view the contents of the tape. It depicted a woman recording herself in front of a video camera (seemingly using the same camera the police found in the kitchen). After positioning the camera to include both her and her kitchen stove in the image, the tape then showed her turning on the oven, opening the door, crawling inside, and then closing the door behind her. Eight minutes into the video, the oven could be seen shaking violently, after which point thick black smoke could be seen emanating from it. The camera then continued to stationary point at the oven for another 45 minutes until the batteries apparently died.

To avoid disturbing the local community, police never released any information about the tape, or even the fact that it was found. Police were also not able to determine who put the tape in the well.

Ability

I live in Osaka, Japan and often use the subway to go to work in the morning. One day, when I was waiting for the train, I noticed a homeless man standing in a corner of the subway station, muttering to himself as people passed by. He was holding out a cup and seemed to be begging for spare change.

A fat woman passed by the homeless man, and I distinctly heard him say, Pig.
Wow, I thought to myself. This homeless man is insulting people, and he still expects them to give him money?

Then a tall businessman went by and the homeless guy muttered, Human.

Human? I cant argue with that. Obviously, he was human.

The next day, I arrived early at the subway station and had some time to kill, so I decided to stand close to the homeless man and listen to his strange mutterings.

A thin, haggard-looking man passed in front of him and I heard the homeless guy mutter, Cow.

Cow? I thought. The man was much too skinny to be a cow. He looked more like a turkey or a chicken to me.

A minute or so later, a fat man went by and the homeless man said, Potato.

Potato? I was under the impression that he called all fat people Pig.

That day, at work, I couldnt stop thinking about the homeless man and his puzzling behavior. I kept trying to find some logic or pattern in what he was muttering.

"Perhaps he has some kind of psychic ability", I thought. "Maybe he knows what these people were in a previous life." In Japan, many people believe in reincarnation.

I observed the homeless man many times and began to think my theory was right. I often heard him calling people things like Rabbit or Onion or Sheep or Tomato.

One day, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to ask him what was going on. As I walked up to him, he looked at me and said Bread.

I tossed some money into his cup and asked him if he had some kind of psychic ability.

The homeless man smiled and said, Yes, indeed. I do have a psychic ability. It is an ability I obtained years ago. But it is not what you might expect. I cant tell the future or read minds or anything like that.

Then what is your ability? I asked eagerly.

The ability is merely to know the last thing somebody ate, he said.

I laughed because I realized he was right. He said Bread. The last thing I had eaten for breakfast that day was toast. I walked away shaking my head. Of all the psychic abilities someone could have, that one must be the most useless.

If anyone wants really good horror stories from Japan, I cannot recommend Saya In Underworld enough. Fantastic stories there.

Upstairs

When I was a child I lived in a rented two-floor house. Both my parents worked so I was often alone when I came home from school.
One early evening when I came home, the house was still dark.
I called out, Mum? and heard a voice say Yeeeeees? from upstairs.
I called my mum again, and again got the same Yeeeeees? reply.
I felt she was calling back at me and climbed up the stairs.
When I reached the first floor I called her once more and the voice, Yeeeeees? came from the furthest room.
I felt both uneasy, but also felt a strong urge to see my mother, and started to walk towards the room.
But just as I was about to open the door into the room I heard the front door downstairs open and my mother come in, carrying a lot of shopping bags.
Sweetie, are you home? my mother called in a cheery voice.
Hearing her voice made me feel instantly better and I turned back to go downstairs at once but not before I had a quick glance towards the room.
While I watched from the top of the stairs, the door to the room slowly opened a crack.
For a brief moment, I saw something strange in there. A pale face, staring at me.

I can't believe they finally got rid of his ass

I have a custom script running on my PC that I commissioned a computer science student back in college to write, where it constantly refreshes GameFAQs to check the status of vegy's account. If the script detects the status has changed to "Warned" or "Suspended", it will send a text alert / email (in case I don't have my phone) and I can immediately react.

This evening was an evening like any other. I was hanging out at my crib (street vernacular for "house") with some of my friends and we were watching Wednesday Night Football (we tape Monday Night Football and watch it on Wednesday) and drinking Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Let me tell you boys, we were are completely Hard (slang for drinking many Mike's Hard Lemonades) the entire time. I looked over at my buddy and I could see he had a Hard one right in the front of his pants! I thought that was funny because normally we put them on coasters on the table. I realized my own Mike's Hard was getting low and I said to my buddy "hey, can you toss me another Hard one?"

He informed me that we were all out and I'd have to get more Mike's Hards. I figured I could just have a swig of his and asked if I could put my mouth on his Hard one. He laughed, because we were both drunk and would normally never do this (because of germs; sharing a drink is disgusting), but eventually he gave in. I grabbed the smooth shaft of the bottle and just as I was about to put it in my mouth, my phone rang.

Vegy was suspended.

I howled. I let out a howl so loud and piercing that it woke up my son. I normally make him go to bed on Wednesday nights at 5:30pm partially because I don't want him to see me getting Hard with other men (the kid doesn't need to be exposed to heavy drinking at his age) and also because he's an annoying little shit and is usually asking questions about football, as if he were a nerd or something.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do. I kept refreshing the GameFAQs page, hoping that this was some kind of mistake. Maybe some moderator was intending to remove a post praising the KKK but had accidentally clicked on the innocent vegy link. Alas, this was not the case.

By this point, my friends were all visibly upset and I noticed they were trying to leave, even though we were only part of the way through the game. "No!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I was inconsolable. I began thrashing about, throwing my collection of decorative throwing knives all over the crib (apartment). One knife struck my Native American friend, Big Bear Jim, in the neck. Blood gashed from his open wound, staining the carpet a deep red and splashing the walls. Blood was everywhere. A sickly iron scent loomed in the air as Death claimed Big Bear Jim.

My son knew he needed to act quick. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small crucifix. "Dad!" He yelled. "Remember how Christ died for your sins? Well, vegy did the same thing. He will live in our hearts forever, and hopefully in 3 days he will rise again from the depths of banned and post wonderful stories about hot chicks calling me ugky again."

At that moment, I knew my son was right. My rage quelled. I tossed Big Bear Jim's corpse into the dumpster and put my son into the Punishment Closet, as he had broken one of my most important rules of the house (never make eye contact with me).

Anyway, I really just miss vegy and I think the mods should reconsider his suspension.

tl;dr - free vegy

Late one night, a taxi driver picked up a girl. When he asked her where she was going she replied she was going home.
Please go straight down this road, turn right there, she instructed him as he drove on. During the journey the driver sometimes gave furtive glances at her through the rear view mirror; the girl had beautiful shiny hair and seemed pretty, although he couldn't see her face clearly because she sat with downcast eyes. He also found her quiet and demure manner attractive.

Before long they reached a lonely, deserted hillside. The girl said, You will see a house straight ahead. And sure enough, a small, old cottage emerged from the darkness. The girl got off, and the driver stayed and watched her go into the house. It was odd that a young girl like her should live in such a lonely, old place, seemingly all on her own. He was intrigued and instead of leaving straight away, got out of the car too and crept up to the house, feeling an urge to know more about her and see her face properly. He felt he was behaving improperly but could not help himself.

When he got close, he saw all the curtains were drawn and there was no way to see inside.
He circled around the house a few times but there was no attempt from inside to lift the curtains. He thought if he stayed any longer the girl might notice him, so he nearly gave up and left when the front door caught his eyes. The door had a large keyhole, which looked as though it would work just as fine as a peephole.
He looked through the keyhole; but found, much to his dismay, all he could see was the colour red, and there was no sign of either the girl or any kind of furniture in the room. Now matter how long he kept at it the scenery remained the same.

He gave up looking, but still could not forget about the girl, so he stopped by the small restaurant he'd seen on the way to her house, thinking he could make a few inquiries about her there while having a meal at the same time.
He told the restaurant owner what had happened, even revealing (although he was terribly embarrassed) that he had a peek through the keyhole.
I looked through the keyhole, but all I could see was something redI know it wasn't a proper thing to do.

The owner, hearing that, looked at him strangely and said to him;
You know that girl she has some sort of disease and her eyes are both crimson red.
