Incredible. Spend so long learning how to beat the meta you forget how to beat normies. Gandhi clearly knows how to play but not at the level of someone you'd expect to be winning locals.

The thing with "normies" is that they can get lucky and beat a pro or two just by sheer nature of confusing them, since they won't play the game as expected, but they never actually get far in tournaments, because the other players watch how they play and quickly learn how to defeat them, since said "normies" can't adapt.

Yep. Same thing with poker from what I've heard. Seasoned players can get caught out by a novice because a beginner is gonna do things that would normally be considered too foolish to do.
