I'm at a gas station on the not-so-great side a town. This homeless-looking guy offered me a 9mm if I get him some food from the gas station.

Then he pulled it out of his sweat pants and showed it to me, and started going on about how it's in good condition.
And after I politely declined, he kept asking if I was sure and telling me that what I really need was a 9mm pistol. He eventually backed off.

Can't say that's happened before, but I'm sure not surprised by it lol. It's probably a fake gun anyway.

This kinda stuff happens a lot at gas stations around here

no because you could just walk away. entrapment involves tricking somebody in some way, which this would not fall under

Why would it be?
Private transfers are still largely unregulated. If anything, it's the homeless guy who goes to jail if you can't legally own a gun.

I'm not driving today. I'm taking the bus. I only use my shitty car if I really have to, like shopping. I can get to work, home, most places on the bus line.

I feel like offering a gun could be considered an implicit threat, so not sure thatd really fly as a way to bait an arrest.
