What a day to be working the closing shift... Was anyone else not even aware of this spinoff until literally last week? The trailers make it look like the lovechild of The Boys and The New Mutants and I'm honestly a bit excited for something I'm not going to have time to watch until later this weekend.

Please put spoilers in tags if you watch it before me, but let me know how it stacks up to the mainline series.

So much good TV this week, damn. Survivor, Gen V, Castlevania Nocturne, and Drag Race UK 5

All caught up until Thursday. I'm really enjoying it so far!

ep1 beated, interesting & different! I'm liking the protag, roommate, and Ambrose from Sabrina. thought the ending was gonna go different but building up some mystery so far

I've known avout it for ages and previewed the first episode months ago. Knew series would be about same quality as the main series after that preview though. Sadly, not much time to watch so it will get added to "the list" until I have time then I'll just blast through them all.

Also Emma still bonding with Sam even after losing her memory of him is so sweet and there's no way it's gonna end well

I didn't see Cate being the traitor coming at all, but I figured it wasn't so the episode was building it up to be either. I did at least figure Dean Shetty was pulling the strings though.

Yeah I mean Dean Shetty seems like she's behind almost everything

They didn't mention daterape guy much before this episode and as far as characters who could potentially do mindwipes, Cate is the only main character that made sense. Also mind control as a power is kinda inherently morally grey

also what exactly are Jordan's powers? They can shape-shift but only between genders, and are also super strong and durable, and also shoot energy blasts???

So there's been talk in the show about how important and potentially powerful Marie is, and something occurred to me

Marie might be one of the few characters that can kill Homelander. Like he's pretty much invulnerable physically but she could probably just stop his heart or the flow of blood to his brain if she wanted to
