He had been spending so much time in a kennel that he barely even moved around. He seemed like he might be deaf when we got him. He was just neglected and his ears were full of crap. Packed right down onto the eardrum. So he was mostly deaf. But we got that taken care of so he could hear again. He knew his name already and was so excited that he could hear us when he came home from the vet that day. He had trouble stepping up the curb when we first brought him home. A couple months of love and play had him running around all over the place. His sores from the kennel were gone. He could jump that little barrel of a body up onto the couch. I don't typically get this attached so quickly. But he just smashed his way into my dark little heart with his wonderful personality. --- "You know, it's not a bad name really, you know?
