The problem with FFX prequel with Jecht is we already have enough information of it. There was not much to expand upon, and it more likely to ruin the established canon. Take a look at crisis core, it kinda worked but the story itself didn't add much to the main lore. I personally dislikes that Cloud's hand-me-down sword from Zack is actually a hand-me-down from another character that was never hinted to exist.

Like someone else said, a Zanarkand war story would be better prequel.

no we don't we don't have how they got together and travel together what fight they had, what problem they had, what side stuff they did what they said, we only have the basic information not the full adventure and we also don't have them playable and we don't see the transformation in personality from who they were at the beginning to them now

None of you said are important to the lore.
And how they get together? Jecht is just like Tidus, Braska literally have the same pilgrimage as the other summoners and Auron was his guardian. The fights they have would be mostly the same as the other pilgrims, minus Tidus's conflict with Seymour co.

first no Jecht isn't like tidus he's cooler and more badass and doesn't have daddy issues and we would get a somewhat normal pilgrimage see how a final aeon looks like and the fight with the previous sin see what Auron did next the characters reacted to finding out about the secret of sin and all the side adventures and all the companionship between them

and why does it have to be important to the lore? why can't we just have things for fun and just see their adventure?

Plus they got Bahamut first and Valfor last XD

And they can't get Anima.

Could be, but it was never stated because they're just a dream created by Zanarkands anyway.
So yeah, some Zanarkands dreamed to be an asshole dad.

Just saying he seemed like the kinda guy who had a rough childhood but grew to think that's what made a man tough so in turn treated his son the same way.

Always got the vibe he was the way he was to tides cause he felt tides needed to be toughened up

Think dissida had a better moment between the two Tham 10 itself. When tidus defeats him and he starts to fade his last words being ya did good kid

Funny thing is, he acted that way is just because he's simply awkward in communication with his son so he put up a facade of being a tough guy.
He's acting like an asshole because it's the only way he know how to act, despite him actually wanting a proper father-son relationship with Tidus.

That's why it gave me the vibe he's trying to teach that it's how to be a man. Likely cause that's what he was raised to believe wad a man.

I can sympathize I little. I was a crybaby as a little kid. My grandad would be mean to me but then like 5 minutes later or whatever i had seemingly gotten over it turn around and say see that wasn't so bad was it. My mom always got on me saying I'd have a tough life with bullying etc if I cried all the time

End result? I have a hard time crying even if I wanna. And honestly it's nice having control enough to not break down in front of people but sometimes when in alone I really want to and can't. I've learned with the few times I've cried as an adult it feels like a release when it's over. Actually had tense muscles loosen up. Also I bottle up emotion in general. Even happiness

Been playing ffx recently. Only have two more captures to get in the omega ruins, then was gonna try my hand at fighting sin. Is there any armor necessary to beat him? Also, i only have yunas, aurons, and rikkus upgraded celestial weapons and tbh, i really hope i dont need the rest..

If you conquered Omega ruins then nothing to worry about with story bosses.
The only tip i can give is don't petrify your own party.

Yeah. Getting to Omega alone in the Omega Ruins is harder than BFA

I'd play it. But only if they make it super homoerotic
