I loved how edgy it was. Shame the sequel got cancelled, but it was probably the right call considering Arcades were dwindling down by then.

Those 90s fighters sure were crude. I can't believe the golden shower was in the game. It was just too dumb and overall bad for me then.

The problem with the sequel is that it had them turn human, thereby negating the premise of the game. It should have just been a spinoff "from the makers of Primal Rage."

It's true that they turned into dinosaurs when they performed special moves, but that was only recycling animation from the first game.

Time traveling dinosaurs.

You thought they went extinct but they evolved, created spaceships and discovered time traveling.

Thanks to lower oxygen content in the atmosphere, they evolved in human-sized greenlike geckos and now we spot them as UFOs.

Never played the game when it was popular but had some of the action figures as a kid.

I loved Primal Rage. Dinosaurs are always cool. Even Vertigo was pretty unique. My favorite was Talon, tho.
Eating the little worshippers was hilarious.

Remember Clay Fighters?

I loved that game. Wish we could get a remaster or something of the first one. The sequel was garbage

It's a shame that fighters are so high-risk, low-reward for companies nowdays. The genre is WAY too safe to do random shit like "what if we made a fighting game with prehistoric creatures?", "What if we made a claymation fighting game?", "what if we made gundam a fighting game?", and my favorite of the bunch: "what if we gave Shaq a fighting game?", anymore.

Weren't the controls like, really fucking weird? You had to do button inputs and then directional controls to pull of special moves?

This was the game that actually got me into fighters. Bought Street Fighter II because everyone else was playing it and saying how great it was, then I played it for maybe a day and didn't like it, so I returned it and got Clay Fighters instead and had a lot of fun with it.

The one I played wasn't Gundam, but was certainly fun back in the arcade in the 90's. It might have even been a series. I remember one bot was sort of an octopus; might have even been a midboss in one of the games. I think they let you customize your 'bit' as well: little orbital drone.

Then you had the arena fighters like Virtual On, with the twin stick controls. I remember using the bot with tonfas a lot in that.
