It's unfortunate the only love that game's been getting has been in Theatrhythm, though each new one bringing more tracks from it has been a delight

Most mainline FF games are fairly entry level.

Most RPGs these days have extensive tutorials and difficulty options. There are even story mode difficulties where you cannot lose in some. This is by far the friendliest era of RPGs for someone new to the genre.
