This is mostly a small rant. I flew out of Edinburgh this morning on a flight that was 15 mins late getting everyone boarded. The pilot told me my gate had been changed and then dropped me off on the entire other side of the airport. I had 30 mins to get to my flight before it took off at this point. I had to wait in line to get on a shuttle, wait in line to get up a stairwell to security check, wait in line to get through security check, and then I receive an email saying my gate had changed to just a few gates past the original.

I let staff know Im going to miss my flight and they tell me to see if anyone will let me cut ahead of them in line. My gate was in A and after the security check it started at Z. I had to make it through all of Z before I could get to A. I make it to my gate just as its supposed to take off to see a line of people waiting in line.

I feel relief thinking all of that stress was for nothing just to find out after 10 mins that the gate I was at was for the wrong flight. So I check the screen and see the gate was never changed and its at the original gate. So I missed my flight. Went to explain to the service desk and they gave no fucks and put me on a flight for a hour from now on the last boarding group in the back of the plane.

TLDR- I missed my flight in a giant ass airport because my connecting flight was late, I had a lot of lines to wait in to get to my gate, my gate was changed, then it wasnt changed. Best they could do for me was book me in another flight with the last boarding group.

The lady at my gate is letting me board first at least.
