No idea but it was before 2005 if I had to pick a year. I was all DVD by then.

About 10 years ago. I still had a VCR hooked up in my bedroom and would play some favorite tapes of mine as I fell asleep each night.

I was going to say at least 20 years ago.

2006 with my gf, we watched Milo and Otis.

a DVD player is an early blue ray player

a blue ray player is like a physical version of a streaming service but you have to put disks into it and pay money for each movie or set of episode

Went back to my hometown to visit my parents, they still have a cabinet full of VHS tapes and I watched an old favorite for nostalgia.

2001. The South Park episode where they said "shit" a lot had just come on, and I literally ran to hook it up and record it because I thought it would never be broadcast again.

I don't remember, but it'd be the early 2000s at the latest.

About 5 years ago when I tried to transfer a sex tape to digital. It ended up eating the tape and I was like there goes an era

I tried using one last night.

I attempted to watch Disney's Dinosaur on VHS, but the screen kept bouncing every three seconds. I popped in Jackie Chan's The Protector to test if it was the tape or the VCR that was the problem. After confirming the tape was the problem, I promptly threw it away. Today, I ran over to Walmart and purchased a DVD copy of Dinosaur for $5. It was cheaper than signing up for Disney+.

It's not the best movie, but I wanted to watch it before going to Disney's Animal Kingdom next week and riding the Dinosaur ride one last time before it's replaced with an Indiana Jones ride.

Couple months ago. I found old family tapes while cleaning out the attic and borrowed my coworkers VHS player to watch em, was fun~

During a week long break from school in February 2013. I visited a friend and we watched her copy of Muppet Treasure Island on VHS.

A few months ago. I've still got a very late model VHS/DVD recorder with HDMI out which I use occasionally to watch tapes of stuff that never came out on anything else.

I leave my VCR hooked up to the TV but not plugged into the wall. I watch my old recorded off CBS version of Garfield's Halloween every other year.

I absolutley did not tape the PPV broadcast of the 2003 Royal Rumble and then rewatch it earlier this year. There's a big FBI warning not to do such things.

I had a bunch of my uncle's tapes converted to digital about six months ago and have to get around to doing my own family's tapes.
