This is how I became a member of this glorious place long ago...(had another account before this one)

So got to thinking what game made you come here or ? You had to go look up something in a guide.

Mine was Suikoden 2 i think or D2 ?

There was a SNES game called Brain Lord which had a particular puzzle. It was a locked door with three buttons on the floor in front of it. There was a sign on the wall that said "The key is on your controller."

My brother and I spent so long trying to figure out what that meant, pressing the buttons in different sequences, etc.

We eventually looked it up, and....the buttons were a decoy. The solution to the puzzle was to walk up to the door and press the X button on the controller (which wasn't the usual interaction button.)

It was amazingly stupid.

Whenever there's a maze (especially with teleporters) I usually don't bother and just look up a wiki.
I don't consider overcoming tedium an accomplishment.

I honestly didnt come here for a FAQ. I was turned onto the site by a friend and lurked for a few years before signing up to take part in discussions on the college football board. Did that for a couple years and with the launch of the PS3 in 2006 I primarily hung out on the PS3 system board. Stayed there until I moved onto the PS4 board, now Im primarily on the PS5 board.

Virtually the only time I never needed help with stuff was back on the NES a few times when I was younger. Nothing really since Ive been on this site.

Quite a few Doom megawads.
