Two expansion ago as of now. It will not include Shadowbringers or Endwalker, and Dawntrail comes out next year.

Main things are no Marketboard, no trading, and no retainers.

Other than not joining an actual PVP Team (I believe you can still do PVP just not as a group), there's no limitation on the actual game playing part as far as I am aware.

Gotcha, thanks. I keep wanting to play ff14 but I can't justify a subscription service to a game I've only played sparingly while subscribed. I've heard the story is pretty good and the two or three times I've paid for a month hasn't even gotten me out of the base game.
