I get that some people misdiagnose themselves to simply mean being a clean freak or finicky or pedantic, but both my brother and I display habits that can be routine-breaking, though were not officially diagnosed as such, nor are we taking treatment.

And suddenly its problematic to describe ourselves as such, even though that is absolutely what we have.

This is just something that came up since I occasionally use it to describe myself in a job interview, but as a way to emphasize my thoroughness and accuracy. Turns out that habitually double and triple-checking your work makes it harder to miss mistakes. But apparently that might be a red flag to be offensive to disabled people? Just because I dont put myself down as having a disability doesnt mean Im not actually disabled, just that I dont expect benefits for it.
