A semi ex-con played by daveed Diggs witnesses a cop shooting a black man running away out of fear. Since he's on probation he doesn't feel like he can even go to the police themselves to report on another policeman shooting. So he's just trying to get by in life. for the Blindspotting TV series, it's more like a sequel to the movie than a reimagining, where it focuses on the wife/baby's mom of the main guy's best friend from the movie.
