  1. Look up the image on Google
  2. Scroll through until you find one that isn't a gif
  3. Attempt to download it on mobile, long press disabled
  4. Visit the link, find that it takes you to the homepage of some image aggregator site and the source image is long gone
  5. Go back to searching, find one you can actually download
  6. Download the image, go back to the topic to upload it
  7. Get some weird error about how the dimensions aren't right for gamefaqs, go back to searching
  8. Download another image, try to upload it again
  9. Find out it's webp so GameFAQs won't support it
  10. Realize at this point the joke has long since gone stale and give up replying entirely.


I remember having to use file splitters in the 56k era to handle large file downloads over multiple days so that you wouldn't have to start over when your internet connection got disrupted by somebody using the phone and because Torrents hadn't been invented yet, and that shit was somehow less frustrating and more capable than trying to upload an image on this forum.

if u set ur browser to desktop mode while on google images, u can click the image so it becomes that box preview, then long click it and open it in a new tab. it will usually be the appropriate size too

Just screenshot your meme, and cut it to size if necessary.

That's how I steal my memes on the fly if there is some stupid format issue going on.
