I do, yes. I sound about as stereotypically "Canadian" as you can imagine. "ooh yahh, don'cha know bud" kinda stuff. Think "out for a rip (the viral song)", "letterkenny", or "bob and doug mackenzie" for a reference point.

But i imagine many of you are from the US south or Europe or w/e and also have accents. Even ppl from NY state or Boston or Ohio, those are some pretty sweet and unique accents.

Yeah people ask me if I'm from Trinidad or Guyana based on my accent. It's usually only people from those two countries who ask. I have a Trini accent.

Not where I am but if I were to go abroad, yeah.

Recognisable? Yes.

Do people tend to get the exact locality right? No. People often assume Im from London.

No, no one ever knows where I'm from. I've lived in 10 states so I have some kind of blend of New Yorker, Southern and Mid Western, different words come out different ways depending on who I'm talking to.

As it happens, no. No one, or I should say, no two people have been able to agree on what my accent sounds like. Everyone has an opinion, but they're all different.

When I'm in Arizona everyone tells me I have a thick Canadian accent, except for one guy from Minnesota I met at a bar. Didn't have the heart to tell him the Minnesota and Canadian accent are the same.

Yes. I don't hear it when I speak (okay, maybe when I say the word "y'all",) but I've been told by others that I have a noticeable Texan accent.

I went to Detroit recently and had someone ask it I was from the south. I am. She said she loved my accent.

Accent, yes. Recognizable, no. Hawaiian pigeon isnt exactly well known outside of Hawaii. I mask it really well though.

There are three generally recognised Australian accents (general, broad, cultivated) and mine is whatever we have in Western Australia. I dont know much about the topic.

Most international people assume I'm British, but occasionally someone will recognise the New Zealand part of the accent.

I'm constantly switching between the several NYC accents (BX, Queens, Brooklyn) and most people in other areas can immediately tell. Even people close by in Long Island, Upstate and NJ.

Upon meeting me, people think I'm of a different nationality/ethnicity and are surprised I don't have a native accent.

My accent is a painfully generic standard American type. The kind of accent that newscasters train themselves to emulate so they sound "neutral" on broadcasts. The kind of accent that ignorant people point to when they want to give an example of someone "not having an accent."

I suppose you could maybe say it's recognizable for its genericness, if that makes any sense.

When I speak English? No. Though I've been told countless times that when I speak Korean I do. Ironically I don't have the shitty typical Westerner accent. Apparently I sound like a Japanese dude trying to speak Korean lol.

I have a bit of a hodgepodge accent.

I was born and raised in North Norfolk, so that's still the baseline, but my Dad is initially from Yorkshire, then moved to Newcastle, then Essex, so I've picked up bits of those accents from him, and my mother was from the posh part of London so I got a bit of that floating around as well. To top it off I've also now lived in Hull for fifteen years so I've got a twinge from there, too.

Basically, I just sound weird.

Everybody has an accent. I sound normal here in the Midwest, but abroad people can recognize me as an American instantly when I speak.

A mix of the different boroughs, and a slight southern accent at times.

Yeah, I'm a Midwesterner who lives in Buffalo where 'A' is pronounced as an 'E', so my accent stands out

Only time my accent has been called out is when I was grabbing food to go in Indiana and the dude said I had a Midwestern accent after he asked and I told him I was from the South

For the most part, no. But, seeing as I was raised in the South, I'll throw out the occasional "Y'all," and some other vernacular related to the South.

I used to think my southern accent was on the milder side, but after hearing a recording of myself, I realized I sound country af. My accent also gets stronger the more impaired or angry I get too.

This also made me remember the time I was in Denver to help family move back to NC... My flight got in late and I was starving so we went to Golden Corral. My dumbass tried to order sweet tea and they didn't have it. Something called raspberry tea.... I was devastated. The lady looked at me like I was crazy.
