Yeah, season 6 finale is my favorite episode in the entire show. It was all well produced and the music was amazing.

No. In book 2 Theon was met by an uncle and brought before his father, his sister was present and he was aware of who she was.

Uh no... When Theon lands in the Iron Islands, Asha (his sister) pretends to be a married/pregnant woman named Esgred and Theon spends the entire chapter bragging about himself and hitting on her.

I think it was more so the stakes involved. Had he absorbed Brann's powers, he would have become unstoppable.

That was not when he arrived at pike on his way to meet his father. That was how he arrived on the TV show. In A Clash of Kings he is met and escorted by his uncle Aeron. Link below:

I was wrong with him seeing his sister at that point, he remembers her when his father mentions her, but does not see her. I do remember the flirting and bragging. But that horseback scene when he arrives on the island was how he arrived in the TV series, not the books. I will see if I can dig through my kindle later when I have time to find it.
