I literally just decided to look up this game after seeing the name on the list for K titles for the Genesis, only to find out this was the fucking precursor to the Heroes of Might and Magic games on PC, which is one of the most influential games on myself as a young gamer! WTF?!??! You can see all the HOMM trappings in this game, though in a less polished state.

WTF guys!!! Did you play King's Bounty? Or how about Heroes of Might and Magic??!?! Da fuck?

This is pretty much how I felt. I ended up going back and playing a lot of Genesis games in the early 2000s, and was kinda shocked to find what was basically Heroes of Might and Magic. It's gotten a bunch of newer PC remakes/sequels now.

No, but I've played basically every other King's Bounty.

Played it a lot. Getting a ship breaks the game easily just picking up free treasures. The newer kings bounty games were pretty great too.

Played it on the PC. I kinda liked this game in a strange way. I don't recall ever finishing it but I think this game can be beaten very quickly if you know what you are doing and get a good seed so to speak.

This was the prototype for Heroes of Might and Magic as mentioned. I think the reason why I liked it is because of how cute everything looks much like HOMM but there is frustration to be found too hehe

I owned Heroes 1 on PC CDROM and it came with the OG King's Bounty (played and beat it)

No, and I missed Jungle Strike dammit. I loved all of those chopper games
