Which do you save? - Results (31 votes) A random, stranger's baby. 35.48% (11 votes) 11 My beloved non-human pet. 64.52% (20 votes) 20 Fire alarm abruptly rings, and smoke starts entering your room. The lights suddenly turn off, and only the battery back up lights shine on. Theres a fire in the hotel youre staying. You start looking around and see that the windows dont open all the way, and thus your only way out is the door and stairwell. You cry for Fuzzy, your beloved pet for many years, whom you never travel without, but Fuzzy is nowhere to be found. You have to get out. You touch the front door, and it isnt hot; so you open the door. As soon as you open the door, smoke overwhelms you. The entire corridor is burning and its hard to see. You drop to your knees, struggling to breath. You remember there are two exits: one on your left, and one on your right; both of these exits are of equal distance to you, as you chose to pick a room at the center of the floor plan. As you look and evaluate your options, you see the following: On the left side, far from you, along the exit path, you see a baby crying on the floor. Its helpless and its parents are nowhere to be found. On the right side, again, far from you but along the exit path, you see your beloved Fuzzy. Fuzzy is passed out due to smoke immolation, but you can somehow make out that Fuzzys body is moving, still breathing. You know once you commit to one path, there isnt enough time to turn around for the other. Which path do you go? Odds are that if the absolute worst case happens with the person when they grow up, they will help someone out somewhere who needs it, however minor.
